Postpartum Bodywork and Massage Session

90 mins

$240

This session is recommended from 1 day after vaginal birth and no earlier than 6 weeks after a cesarean birth.

Spend 90 minutes having your body and nervous system taken care of.

This session combines all the benefits of postpartum massage with bodywork techniques that help the structures of the core realign to their pre-pregnancy positions, the abdominal organs to unwind and settle back in their corret positions after being shoved up under the ribs for the last 9 months, balance the psoas and calm the nervous system

We'll address achy shoulders and wrists, that often come with taking care of a newborn, work to bring your core back into alignment, addressing any diastis recti we may find, and in the case of a cesarean birth, start gentle scar massage to help prevent scar tissue from sticking and causing long term issues.

It is recommended that everyone receives this session a least once after birth.

Postpartum Relaxation Massage

75 mins

$200

This massage can be received any time after a vaginal birth and at least 6 weeks after a cesarean birth.

Massage in the postpartum period has benefits that not only help you to recover from the birth, but also extend into your next pregnancy and birth experience.

Structural changes in the body during pregnancy put stress on the weight bearing joints of the hips, pelvis and lower back. The labor and birth experience can cause lingering soreness in legs, back and shoulders, and caring for a newborn puts strain on the back, neck and wrists.

Foot Reflexology

60 mins

$160

Foot reflexology can be especially beneficial in the postpartum period in helping you recover from pregnancy and birth, and in promoting deep relaxation and better sleep.

Words from our Clients

Rose C. says...

"I went to Emma for both pre and postnatal massages religiously. Regardless of pregnancy, I've always liked deep tissue massages to really get into the knots. During my third trimester, I went to Emma twice a month which I always looked forward to and saw as my reward and relief from carrying another LIFE and those extra pounds every day. My swollen feet and hands felt SO GOOD because Emma would really squeeze and kneed and push the extra fluid out of them. Every time I would come out feeling lighter and brighter physically and mentally. I also scheduled a postpartum massage two months after BB. It was again a reward for myself for making it 2 months and doing a good job. Even though it was hard tot take time for myself, I'm so glad I did. By then I was healed but also starting to get the aches / stiffness (different from pre) from healing in bed and carrying BB. She knew exactly what areas I needed. Her expertise on being dedicated to pre and postnatal massage is apparent. She says postnatal is forever :) and that I've earned it, so I plan to keep booking her as my reward to myself.."

Brooke says...

"Emma is phenomenal at what she does. She was able to quickly identify what was creating my shoulder tension and remedy it. I wish I had found her during my pregnancy but grateful to have found her postpartum"
